Saw these whey-faced Brit posers open for U2 a while back and thought they were the most insufferably pretentious and annoying bad I'd ever encountered.

Not only has this clip not changed my mind, but I'd give five years of whats left of my life if I could be teleported back in time to when it was taped and get to throw pies into every one of their mugs. Particularly the bass player.

"annoying band" not "annoying bad."

I regret the error.

That kicks some serious ass.

Yeah, I love this clip. I especially love the drummer.

@ Steve Simels

I paid to see Muse as a headliner twice and loved them both times.

I never heard Muse before this clip and I pressed play daring them to impress me. I recognized the tune in the first bar and they nailed it.

Mixed feelings... pretty cool, but not nearly as cool as Prince himself. One of my favorite music quotes ever came from Prince after U2 beat him out for Grammy for Album of Year - Joshua Tree over, in fact, Sign O The Times.

Prince was a bit ticked, and said something like this to an interviewer, "The thing is, man, I can do 'The Streets Have No Name'... but they cain't do 'Housequake.'"

I thought that quote was badass and really summed it all up. Nobody does it like him.

Muse are tremendous live - saw their set at Lolla in 2011. Poseurs they are not. Albums have been imperfect but appreciate the efforts at doing the "concept" thing. Great cover!

Me likee, don't know much about these guys but if Prince can cover Zeppelin tunes why not and it kicks some serious ass.

I love how they make it sound like a MUSE song.

I'm with Monsieur Simels on this one. This doesn't do much for me.

They are the quintessential band that I wanted to loathe but actually love and respect (especially after whatsisname hooked up with Kate Hudson, who annoys me). Adore this cover and how they make it their own. Have never seen them because in LA they play arenas and I avoid them at this point...but someday I will see them...
