Bad Kitty Music #13: Sleepy Hollow

SLEEPY HOLLOW - SLEEPY HOLLOW 1972. This seldom seen album really sounds like a George Harrison record. I checked all the covers and inner sleeve and everything, but I did not see any confirmation that George Harrison was in the band. Nor were there explicit denials, though. Perhaps the three guys in the band were just channeling the essence of George Harrison. But that still made for a solid, harmony-rich mellow jam of a record. The kind of record one would put on to begin a day when you have no intention of putting on socks. For those who care about things, this is a promotional copy, with the hype sticker, and it is a Monarch pressing, as well. If you are ready to get mellow, mosey on out to the Cromwell Record Riot at the Red Lion Hotel this Sunday and snag this slab. Feel free to leave your socks at home.

So thrilled to see "Sleepy Hollow" mentioned here. It's a quite good record, and I hear John Lennon as well as George Harrison! It isn't really, but fool your friends!

I first found out about Sleepy Hollow from online articles on "tax scam" record releases that weren't intended to make money, but to dodge the tax man. Apparently Tiger Lily records which reissued Sleepy Hollow was a big tax scam label.

Here's an article (Aaron Milenski on Tax Scam Releases):

At one point someone had posted a rip but I don't think it's live anymore.
